A Tribute To...

... Lalena.

I'm going to be honest with you all. When I first heard D4V mention Lal's name, I thought he said "Lyle". And I kept thinking to myself, "Why would a girl be named that??". I later found out that it was short for Lalena, which all made sense to me, now.

Anyway, months ago when I was new to Calgary, I didn't know a lot of people. Of the ones I have grown to know, I must say that Lal has become an awesome friend. Don't worry, I consider a lot of you friends. But I didn't see you all on my walk to work every morning. If I was able to get myself out of bed and dressed early enough, I knew I would meet Lal, also on her way to work. I can still remember the first time we met on 4th on our walks. I looked up and thought, "Hmmm, she looks familiar". And sure enough, she stopped and we had a quick chat. Every time thereafter we would stop and see how things were. Ah yes... good 'ol 4th St eh Lal?

I won't ramble, but I will say moving to another province had better not change much. I mean, sure she'll be hours away, but I know she'll keep the R4NT forums hot with topics.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you'll be missed around here Lal. Every time we go out we'll wish you were there with us. Have fun in Van., and when you're surfing the ocean, think of us alright? Oh and, I hope this isn't coming across as a "we'll probably never see each other again" kind of note, because it's not. I know we will.
