Moore's the Pity

The title of this piece is a play on words. A joke of sorts. And, it's fucking dumb. I apologize to all of you, sincerely.

The gaming world is watching anything that MS has to say regarding the X360, some because they crave titles for their hard won platform, and others because they want to get their paws on one and need to know the ship date for new consoles. Some, however, are simply interested in the data regarding the 'box. I would be one of the people who is interested in news and discussion, but has basically no desire to ever own one of them, so in some ways it's a waste of time. However, it's always interesting when the PR machine yanks the rip start and unleashes one of their dog soldiers to do an interview. EGN had a chat with Peter Moore, the Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Retail Sales and Marketing for Microsoft's Home and Entertainment Division (that is the longest fucking title i've ever seen, jesus). You can check it out Here. It's always interesting when a market giant can take a moment and make themselves look like assholes.

I certainly admit that being a business, MS needs to protect itself, but his response to the faulty console issue seems a little edgy, like he's offended that people are pissed off that their insanely expensive toy, that they practically had to shoot someone in the face to get due to shortages, doesn't work. Frankly I would think that a little more contrition on their part would be due, but I suppose when you're the biggest kid in school, there's no need to apologize. Hsu asks a lot of hard question of Moore, and some of the answers are pretty fucking lame.

When it first cranks up, like a lot of things, the fans get going and off you go, but you've got a lot of power, you've got a lot of heat, and what you're hearing is the drive or the fans maybe”those things have to work. Again, that's another thing that nobody seems to be concerned about.

Nobody's concerned about.....why would the question have been asked if nobody was concerned? That's one of the things I hated about the OG box, it was loud as hell, and now reports indicate that this fucker is louder then the original. That terrifies me.

Read the article you bastards. I don't scour the internet to find this information just so you can ignore it. In fact, I don't scour it at all...I read this on PA.
