Apple Switch?

I couldn't hardly believe that Apple is switching to Intel processors. And not only that, but they have been writting code to support it natively since the first release of OSX. You can watch today's presentation that took place at this years WWDC @ http://stream.apple.akadns.net/.

I'm sure we're all going to hear tonnes more speculations on this in the upcoming months, but in the meantime I have a hard time seeing this as being a good thing. Also why not AMD?
