Donation?

A cool $50 Million donated to the University of Calgary

That's great. However, I'd like to quote from the article:

The $50 million will be used for more than 100 new scholarships, to create three new research chairs and will pay for more field trips for students.

Um.. Field Trips, and ~100 new scholarships? With $50 Mil?! How vague is that? Even if tuition was 10k / year, and they did 200 scholarships (for 4 years, which I don't think they'd do), that's only $8 Million.

Oh wait.. "WOO FIELDTRIPS!"

Granted my personal views on Universities are that they operate like a business, and the people that run them make bundles of cash. It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
