Where's the customer service?
*Warning RANT ahead*
Okay.. I haven't gone on a rant for a while, so here goes.
Scene 1:
Bank. I applied for a loan over a week ago (online). They said it normally takes about 2 business days to get back you by. It's been about 7 and I still haven't heard anything. Also when I go to check my online banking my application status isn't linked or even recorded. And lastly I don't have an email giving me the information regarding the form I filled in (which took about 20 minutes), so I'm kinda just waiting for them to get off their asses. Maybe I'll just drive my rust bucket a few more years..
Scene 2:
UPS. Ordered a package from the USA a week ago, got it shipped EXPRESS (fastest, most expensive method). Long story short. They messed up the shipping. They came to the door but didn't deliver the package (someone was here waiting for it). Explanations? None. Secondly I've called UPS like 5 times asking them to have someone from the UPS Calgary to call me to give an explanation on what happened, let alone ask for a refund of some type. Nope.. Jack.
Scene 3:
Bank (yes, again). I decided it would be a good idea to wire Crom some money which I owed him via online Interac. A few hiccups later, the money is being sent back to me because of some mix-up on the receivers end (come on Crom you knew the answer!). Alas, you'd think the system would be bullet proof (since we are talking about money). But no.. Even though the money is coming back to me I still don't have it. That's right. When I try to redeposit the money back into my account it tosses me an error with no real explanation. Thus I still don't have the hundred or so bucks back. Oh.. And to make things even better, I've been charged the service fee TWICE ($1.50 a pop). Um.. Hello!? Emailed them for an explanation two days ago.. And again waiting, waiting waiting… Not even an email saying they're looking into the problem.
There ya go.. Three rants in a few minutes. Mostly I'm steamed because these are BIG companies that have vaults of cash sitting around, yet still treat the customer like a bar of prison soap. And as you can see Banks are still my most despised industry (Insurance coming a close second).
