Plasma TV? Pfft old skool.
by MaxPower
You've just got your LCD/Plasma screen? You're the cool kid on the block? People flock to your TV to view it as a functional piece of art? Whatever. New TV technology is all about the laser. Yes that invention that sounds quaintly 80s... the "fricken laser" as Doctor Evil parenthetically stated is the future of TV tech.
Or at least in Australia...
IT'S being hailed by its developers as the next revolution in visual technology - a laser television that will make plasma screens obsolete.Soon-to-be-listed Australian company Arasor International and its US partner Novalux unveiled what they claimed to be the world's first laser television in Sydney today, with a pitch that it would be half the price, twice as good, and use a quarter of the electricity of conventional plasma and LCD TVs.
Christmas 07 baby. You know what that means? Between now and this time next year LCDs and plasmas will free-fall in price, even more so than they already are.
