Xbox 360 HD DVD Player…
..and will only cost about $200CDN!
Oh man, this is going to seriously going to shake things up. Let's see... Now the price point battle vs PS3 / Xbox 360 is still in favor of the Xbox. Not to mention what this does to the HDDVD / Blueray battle.
Lets see.. I've been seeing Xbox 360's going for $400 (super crazy bundle system w/ hard drive etc), and I fully expect them to drop the system to around $350 when the PS3 and Wii launch, thus making a Xbox 360 with HDDVD support hovering about $550 bucks (not that much higher than the initial launch price). OH! And included with this HD DVD drive is the Xbox 360 Universal Remote Control! Oh oh! And MS is/has released an update so that games and HD footage will be played at 1080p!!! Interesting to say the least.
Less interesting stuff that came out today (and sorry no pics):
- Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel (with force feedback, watch this chew thru your double As)
- Xbox 360 Wireless Headset (yawn)
- Xbox Live Vision (think video conferencing in your living room.. erm.. I foresee an Xbox Live "dating" game coming out... XXX rated perhaps ha!)
- Xbox 360 Memory Unit (booooooooooooooring! 256megs, who is buying this system without the HD?)
- Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows (use your xbox controller, headset, or racing wheel on your PC, wheee!)
Prices? Dunno yet. Now would November hurry up already!
