Free TV = Miro!

by David Gluzman

Can't get enough TV? Or don't have cable? Heard of Joost but didn't get in on it yet? Well I've gone ahead and tried out Miro, and wow it's fairly awesome.

Check it:

- No DRM
- Over 2,000 channels from independent creators.
- 2,600+ listed in the Miro Guide. In addition, any video RSS feed can be added directly.
- About 200 channels of commercial broadcast content.
- FREE!

After using it for a few days I can see this totally changing the face of how we digest video over the interweeb. Pick what you want, watch it when you want, and have the content self organize and expire at set intervals. Super easy and convenient if you ask me. Can't wait for it to go Tivo styles and start suggesting episodes of web/commercial content to watch.

Currently I'm plowing through a bunch of the TED seminars and am finding it truly inspiring. If you don't want to be bothered with Miro you might as well at least checkout TED:

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

Download Miro and watch some TED presentations! :)
