Bioshock to be made into a movie

Dark horse surprise Xbox 360 hit Bioshock is being made into a movie by Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski and Universal Pictures.
"BioShock fans appreciate the depth and complexity of the game, and our partnership with Gore Verbinski will introduce the world of Rapture to an even wider audience," says2K Games president Christoph Hartmann. " In addition to his impressive body of work, Gore is an avid video gamer and true fan of BioShock. That was extremely important to us in deciding to move forward with this project."Verbinski is slated to direct and produce the film, while John Logan, writer of Gladiator, The Aviator and Sweeney Todd is in discussion to adapt the screenplay.
I was given this game as a Christmas present and I was pleasantly surprised at its character depth, intricate story line and fantastic mood-inducing graphics. I said more than one time that "this could be a move" and with some decent directing, producing and writing behind it, it could be a very good movie.
Oh yeah, Xbox 360 exclusive too.
