It’s Cold for Most of the People

The western half of North America has just been through an exceedingly cold period - preliminary data show that January 08 was the coldest January in 15 years which is pretty cold.

However, western North America and more specifically western Canada, is not exactly the population centre of the planet. But China is.

China is going through the coldest winter in 100 years which has interupted travel plans before Lunar New Year coming up, left millions without power and given rise to instances of extremely heavy snow killing crops. Spectacularly, Chenzhou, a city with 4 million people has been without power for 11 days. Imagine Toronto without power for 11 days? Crazy.
