Jag and Buick? Really?

by MaxPower

I wouldn't have guessed it, but Jaguar and Buick are the two most reliable car brands.

Strange days for Japanese makers, especially in light of consumer perception that Toyota (deserved) and Honda (not as deserved) are high quality manufacturers.

Jaguar and Buick surged to the top of J.D. Power and Associates' closely watched vehicle dependability study this year, tying for the No. 1 spot and dethroning Lexus for the first time since the Japanese luxury brand has been a part of the survey.

Here is the list:

Buick
Jaguar
Lexus
Toyota
Mercury
Infiniti
Acura
Lincoln
Cadillac
Honda
Porsche
Audi
Ford
Hyundai
Subaru
Chrysler
BMW
GMC
Mercedes
Chevrolet
Mitsubishi
Volvo
Nissan
Dodge
Mini
Saturn
Kia
Jeep
Pontiac
Hummer
Scion
Saab
Mazda
Isuzu
Land Rover
Volkswagen
Suzuki

The difference between VW and Audi is amazing, shows the (poor) quality of the bottom of the line VW vehicles (City Golf & Jetta, I am looking at you) really impacts overall numbers. And hands up who thought Cadillac would have a higher reliability rating than Honda?
